IATSE Sanctions Strike Against Broadway Producers New York

-||- IATSE National -||: "IATSE International President Thomas C. Short has sanctioned the strike of Broadway stagehands Local One against the League of American Theatres and Producers. The League represents the Shubert Organization and Jujamcyn Theatres. The Nederlander Organization has been sitting in on negotiations. Under the International Union's rules, a Local Union is required to obtain strike authorization from the International President. The International President may make efforts to resolve the dispute before granting such a request."
