Depp in play as strike delays two films
Yahoo! News: "Johnny Depp is the latest A-list actor to fall victim to the WGA strike. The actor was scheduled to film 'Shantaram' -- Warner Bros. and Initial Entertainment Group's adaptation of the Gregory David Roberts novel -- in the winter, but that project has now been postponed."

I definitely think that this will be a trend. As actors see their options getting smaller with the writers strike as the scripts run dry there will be a movement to find work elsewhere. Actors will support the writers but will need work still.
I think Johnny Depp can take some time off and not have to worry about his gas bill. I think it’s funny that a newspaper would choose to write a story about Johnny Depps lack of work. I would be much more interested to hear how the less well known actors of L.A. are doing. How are the people who had a reoccurring spot on “The office” doing? It’s always more interesting to hear about the underdog.
