'9 to 5' musical to tryout in L.A
Variety: "Broadway-bound tuner version of '9 to 5,' with original songs by Dolly Parton, is set to preem in fall 2008 at Center Theater Group's Ahmanson Theater in L.A."

9 to 5 is one of my favorite movies. It's so tacky that it's good. I've always been a fan of Dolly Parton as a song writer, and alyson Janny is one of my favorite actresses. It might be very simple, but it sounds great.
I LOVE "9 to 5" and Alyson Janny!!!!!! I can see how this would translate very well to the stage through it won't have the same poigantency that the film had when it came out. While obviously sexism still exists it isn't at nearly the same level, but I'm sure parts will still ring true. CAN"T WAIT!!!
