Adobe Share: Your Documents Are Now Embeddable On Any Site on Compiler

Wired: "Along with this morning's Buzzword acquisition announcement, Adobe has taken the wraps off a new beta service called Share. As the name implies, the service allows you to share documents either with a list of named contacts or with everyone on the web."

with so many companies making these on-line collaboration tools for several years now, its surprising to see that not one of them has taken the lead and than other companies are still trying to get in this business.
microsft came close, but with apple's new product line, they werent able to grab the market. adobe is a nice cross-platform mix, but how many people have adobe programs on their computer (aside from acrobat reader)?

it amazes me to see that people still prefer the xerox, mailbox, and red pen or the word document with italicized text over email to these new sharing tools

I agree with what bward says. I feel that adobe is the best mix of these concepts, however being able to afford all of the different components is another story. My suggestion would be to have more of their programs standard on computers. Maybe people just need to realize that is is a useful tool to and that it is out their to be used.
