Will theater feel effects of nicotine withdrawal?

Cleveland Plain Delaer: "Just as language and nudity became the subject of First Amendment court fights in the face of obscenity and indecent-exposure statutes, smoking has emerged as a battlefront in the ongoing struggle to keep censorship off the stage."

Not allowing exceptions for theatrical productions is ridiculous. Smoking is an integral part of many of the plays mentioned in the article. It just doesn't make sense to have characters talk about smoking and then not light up. And changing lines is even worse. Every line in the script is deliberately written, and to change it takes away from the poetics as given by the author. I hope the Ohio loophole is passed and leads to similar laws.
