J-o-b Drafting

DRAFTSPERSON/SCENIC ASSOCIATE. American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.), a LORT A theater, seeks an Associate to provide technical and logistical support in executing set designs for all main stage, Conservatory (school), second stage, developmental works and other special events. The Associate will create all construction drawings for scene shop and other design drawings as needed by production departments. The Associate will act as liaison between Set Designers, other artists and production staff requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The Associate is responsible for maintaining organized and current technical drawings for shows and venues. The successful candidate will be proficient with computer graphic programs such as PhotoShop, Auto Cad, and Vectorworks. Experience with Word and Excel also required. Position requirements include undergraduate theater degree, though a Graduate degree is highly desired. Candidates should possess familiarity with industry standards in set construction; materials and methods. This is a full-time seasonal position (August-June) with benefits.
