Be on time with the Procrastinator’s Clock

lifehack.org: "You know you’ve all tried setting your clock forward a few minutes in hopes getting yourself out the door on time. You also know that this never works, because you just subtract the time instead of actually leaving early. Instead of getting places earlier, you just end up improving your math skills. "

With its varying inconsistencies, the Purnell clock system is basically the same thing.

I had a friend in highschool who set her clock to something like 17 minutes fast. In the morning, being in a disoriented and groggy state, she knew the clock was fast, but didn't have the capacity to do the subtraction necessary to figure out what time it really was.

ps
love the purnell clock

I used to do that in high school, too. It worked most of the time because when I'd first look at it I would spring out of bed thinking I was going to run late. Considering I had to be in class at 7:45 it was a good tactic for me. I don't use it now though.

My wushu school's clock was actually 5 minutes slow, and I knew this. But no matter what, I swear I'd have an anxiety attack (I hate being late...) when my clock said I had 2 minutes to get there and it was at least going to take 5... even though I full well knew I still had 7 minutes. o_O
...I was super early a lot...

it would be brilliant if that was my alarm clock..... Like Varsenik said, with my watch already 5 minutes ahead of real time, it can be anywhere from 5-10 minutes fast according to purnell time....

nothing helps, I'm still late to many, many things.....the first lighting stagecraft class, for instance.....
