Torture: Timely topic, bad 'Treatment'

New York Daily News: "It takes more than current events and a hot-button issue to make a play worthwhile.

One is constantly reminded of that watching Eve Ensler's topical but exasperating two-character psychodrama 'The Treatment,' running through Oct. 22 at the Culture Project, 45 Bleecker St."

I was rather intirgued as I began to read this article--it sounded like an extremely interesting play. The psychological thriller-type script has always appealed to me. I was dissapointed that the review ended so negatively. It's interesting to think of how so many percieve New York as THE place to see live theatre. I think reviews such as this, as well as a few personal experiences just go to prove the vastness of the separation between quantity and quality. (Not that I will trust the review--I would still like to see for myself)
