Advanced Gantt Charts in Spreadsheet
lifehack.org: "Gantt Chart is useful. It tracks tasks start and finish dates, dependencies and resources. Unfortunately drawing gantt chart usually requires a project management software. Alternative? Peltier Technical Services shows a way of doing it in Spreadsheet (i.e. Excel)"

Using Excel for Gnatt Charts is like building platforms with screwdrivers. Possible, but very labor intensive. If you only had to do it once, you might, otherwise, get the right tool for the job.
