Obama to nominate Jane Chu to chair National Endowment for the Arts

The Washington Post: President Obama announced Wednesday that he plans to nominate Jane Chu as chair of the National Endowment for the Arts — a position that has remained vacant for more than a year.
Since 2006, Chu has been president of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City where she oversaw completion of the sprawling center — a $326 million project finished in 2011 using private funds.

I am super excited for this nomination. I think the National Endowment for the Arts has changed so many lives in education and it is a shame that it has been declining in significance lately. Hopefully with this very qualified nominee we will see increase in funds in this program.
