PNC Broadway Across America season includes plenty of award-winners

TribLIVE: The 2013-14 PNC Broadway Across America — Pittsburgh season represents the best of Broadway, says Paul Organisak. It may not contain as many gotta-see-that titles as the 2012-13 season — hits like “War Horse,” “The Book of Mormon” and the 25th-anniversary production of “Les Miserables.” But the subscription season of seven musicals contains real winners, says Organisak, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's vice president for programming and the person charged with putting together the selections for the season.

I think it is really great when Broadway shows are able to go across america and be made available to non New Yorkers. I have always felt fortunate to grow up in a city where my passion is shared b so many others and shows are scattered all over the city and Broadway is just a 20 minute train ride away. Student rush has made it possible to see shows as well, which was great. "The Lion King", "Once", and "Peter and the Starcatcher" are great shows and also pretty new (relative to others on Broadway) so it is cool that they are able to travel at this point.
