Variety: "Playwrights collective 13P, founded in 2003 to produce one play by each of its 13 members, has scored a hefty grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to stage its final four shows."
Good news for the collective to receive the funding that they need in order to finally achieve their original goal. The article didn't mention how much the grant was, but I can't help but wonder how many times a grant like that could have been given to other struggling theatre companies and still make up just a small fraction of the various stimulus packages that were so recently passed by congress, or for that matter a fraction the amount that nobody seems to be able to account for from those packages.
