Circus Couture Presents ‘PRYSM’ combining the circus with art and fashion at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

This is one of my favorite things that Cirque du Soleil employees work on. The event was two nights ago, and I've been seeing many photos and updates on how it went. What is incredible to me is that the costume/fashion designers and makeup artists who work on this event do not actually begin their work until early August. They pull together some extremely beautiful work in under two months, while working their full-time jobs with Cirque. Most importantly, though, it is for such a good cause. Sometimes I struggle with the fact that I decided to go into entertainment instead of something that is more centered around helping people (teacher, doctor, etc.), but then I look at things like Circus Couture, and they remind me that theatre can and does help people. There are so many good hearts in this industry and I love that they put their work toward something so meaningful.
