Interview: Billy Crystal And Josh Gad, 'The Comedians'
NPR: In the new FX series The Comedians, Billy Crystal and Josh Gad star as satirical versions of themselves. The show is about how the two comedians are hesitant to work together and share the spotlight, but they do, and they begin a strained relationship, in which they're separated from each other by a generational comedy gap.

This is an extraordinary combination of two comedic geniuses. I think the age difference in this duo is going to be their biggest challenge, but also their greatest advantage. Some aspects of humor have changed over the generations through the usage of social media and evolving technology, but many aspects of humor are timeless. Just like sex will always sell, some things will always be funny. And i think that if these two can really hone in on this concept, this show will explode. One of the things that I feel both of these greats have in common is the ability to command a room. Even though this show will be televised, the charisma that these two share I'm positive will translate to every family room in America. Very excited to watch.
