PICT Adds Adult Classes to Education Series
Stage Directions: PICT Classic Theatre, now in its nineteenth season, is pleased to unveil a series of Adult Theatre Classes— its newest program under the PICT Educates banner. Aimed at connecting the PICT professional theatrical community with the Pittsburgh community at large, PICT will offer classes in its new studio in the South Side for adults with an interest in acting.

Many people I feel looks at acting classes and simply do not appreciate them enough because acting is something that is so subjective that how can you get it right. Well I believe that the reason that actors are constantly taking acting classes is to keep improving on their acting techniques. Acting is just like anything else in this world, you get better with practice, and you can never have too much practice. I think PICT offering adult acting classes is a really great resource for adults who are interested in studying acting. However, a few things come to mind that make me have a little doubt in the success of this program. The first thing is that it probably really hard to get students just because adults are much busier than the average student takes acting classes. The second this is how many people are going to be taking this for fun, and how many are taking it because they want to be a successful actor? All in all, I think that this will make a great program.
