I don't know why but this all makes me laugh... like a lot. I think it's so silly that people take this so seriously... I am not as obsessed with Disney as some of my friends... no, actually, I'm not obsessed at all. So maybe that is why I don't find this that appealing. I think some of the tours are a great idea because it's always nice to see the inner workings of these places. And the draw Mickey class seems like fun, but it probably costs money and I'm pretty sure there's a tutorial on youtube for free... Actually, I know there is and here it is:

Anyway, I think Disney is a great place and I love there movies and I think they really do promote using the imagination which is great. But some of these new things (and everyone is doing it) really seems to just be for the money. Power walking through Disneyland? You can go power walking anywhere and it's pretty much a workout just getting around Disneyland to get to the rides! Why would someone spend money to walk around a place they've already spent money to go to?! It all seems very silly to me and (I know money is a big deal) I wish it were more about the fun and play one could have than the money that a corporation is making out of people with money in their pockets.

So first to address Becki's rather ignorant comment. Most people go to a disney resort primarily for the all inclusive experience. For the demographic that these things are marketing towards, its worth it for people to do it at disney as opposed to somewhere else. And also, from my experience, typically extra little fun things like this are on a sign up basis, and are covered by the fee that you pay to stay at the resort.
In terms of the actual video itself. I am very happy that this guy likes his job so much and that it lets him be creative in his own way. I personally would find it quite boring. BUT what i think disney is doing with this web series, recognizing the "lesser" but very crucial roles in the organization is of critical importance.

I totally agree with Trent on this. The whole point of the Disney parks and staying at them is for the unique experience. You don't just "visit" Disney, for the true experience you get to "live" it in all aspects of your stay. I really like this video because it sort of reminds of the SM/PM role. Although not the exact same thing, it is similar in terms of needing to be creative in planning and how to get things done and also include the organization, management, and paperwork type tasks too. I know it definitely isn't what people consider the stereotypical creative person, but I would still say that they are being creative too.
