I thought this article would be about the current TV show Blacklist which is not yet 10 years old, and was skeptical that they had been writing it for that long in advance. However upon reading the article I realized that it was not. Regardless of if I think the Black List is a good thing for writers, I think it is certainly effective. It does become a popularity contest, but in some ways that is a good thing. The founder of the Black List has a good point when people complain about that it is not good for up-and-comers, and it is that that isnt what it was meant to do, its is supposed to popularize scripts.
