'Blood Brother,' documentary with Pittsburgh connections, wins big at Sundance
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: An acclaimed film created by Pittsburghers has won top honors at the Sundance Film Festival.
"Blood Brother," the story of Rocky Braat, a onetime resident of Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio, and Pittsburgh who's drifting through India and lands at an orphanage for children with HIV and AIDS, was today awarded the festival's U.S. Grand Jury Prize for Documentary, along with Audience Award for U.S. Documentary.
Producer Danny Yourd and director Steve Hoover work with the Downtown Pittsburgh agency Animal, Inc. Mr. Braat, Mr. Hoover and Mr. Yourd all graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
