Puppet the centerpiece of 'War Horse' show
TribLIVE: Chris Harper will never forget the first time he saw Joey, the horse whose war-time journey is the focus of the stage play “War Horse.”
“I couldn’t believe I was stroking the nose of a (puppet) horse and I’m thinking, ‘Why am I doing this?’ ” says Harper, who produced the stage drama “War Horse” that had its world premiere in 2007 at the National Theatre of Great Britain in London.

I can still recall the first time i watched this show in new york. my friends and i, 5 people in total, burst into tears and just couldn't stop. I always think we are so lucky that we grow up in a peaceful time. we don't need to stand the separation of families or the pain of losing someone we love. But terrible things still keep happening. There was war in Iraq, there are crimes everywhere, there are a lot of creepy things everyday. sometimes i do think that maybe animals are better than human being. Though they are not smart enough to create and change the world, but they are pure. their world and their though are simple -- be loved and love back. their relationship is straight -- you treat me good, i will repay you more. i watched a lot of stories, in which abandoned dogs waited for their host without eating anything until they die.. i guess that is the reason why i always think animals are far more better than human being. they are loyal, they don't lie.
