I was once told that theater was a selfish profession, but when companies use money to help support other artists (even if it is for the ultimate benefit of the business) the theater world benefits. What theater people do with their talent, and in a few cases, their money makes the business as selfless as it could be.
A big part of the theater world is how unstable the income is. That is the nature of it all, but i really do believe that this should not stunt creativity because that would be a shame.
