Bill Rauch is an amazing man and artist and completely deserves the Zelda award. I had the chance to talk with Bill two summers ago. The most striking thing I learned from that meeting was his amazing passion and love for the work. The famous quote from Andrew Carnegie comes to mind "My heart is in the work." Mr. Rauch really and truly cares about every project and person he works with/on. He has done great work at cornerstone and OSF. I my self have seen many of the productions listed in the articular including Measure for Measure, The Pirates of Penzance, Romeo and Juliet, and All the Way. Bill has proven to me time and time again that his skill as a director is worthy of this award.
