Officer Profile: Tom Hackman
usitt.org: USITT's new Vice-President for Programming, Tom Hackman, may hold a new job title with the organization, but he brings years of experience in helping create and run the Annual Conference & Stage Expo to the position.

A great take-away from this article is that the opportunitites are made from connections and that opportunities taken may lead to jobs you did not even know you would love. Tom Hackman even says that he is from a TD background, but the majority of his work was not in that field. And that is okay, because being a TD gave him a jumping off point to explore and involve himself in other career opportunities. Just like the current students here; we will not all do what we are doing here when we graduate, but we will all have our focuses from CMU as a place to start.
