Doodle - Online Scheduling Made Easy

lifehack.org: The process of getting groups together, even small ones, for meetings or even for social activities is a massive time suck. Mixed messages and long email threads all conspire to drive organizers crazy. Herding cats is easier than getting 4 school chums to a lunch! What you don’t need are those scheduling headaches. What you do need to stop them is Doodle.

I have heard many a person complain about having to fill out "yet another" doodle poll in order to schedule a meeting. I, however, think it's a great source to use in order to schedule meetings with a large amount of people. Trying to deal with the e-mail chain of who's free when, and why that time doesn't work can take days, while filling out a doodle poll can take only a few hours to schedule a meeting. It may be annoying to set up the poll through an online source and then have to wait for everyone to fill it out, but it really is faster and easier than the other option. I think it works great for meetings with a large number of people or for setting up meetings with people who don't see each other often enough to set up a meeting face-to-face.

I find it very interesting that people are just being shown Doodles. I have been using then for a number of years to schedule meetings when I have a lot of people with different schedules. I have also been on the other side of being a part of a meeting. I think that a lot of the older generations may not know this exist or how to use it to its fullest but the college age people know how to use it to its max. I have to admit I did not know about having your calendar in the program but it seems there is a fee which as a student and not use this program on a daily occurrence would make no sense in me spending the money.
