Your Continuing Mission: The Cohort Learning Initiative

theatrebayarea.org: Why do we do what we do? That question is so fundamental that it can easily be taken for granted. Nonprofit organizations are required to draft a mission statement that articulates their purpose, but past the point of 501(c)3 application, how often is this core thinking used to its maximum capacity? How often is it used to leverage this unique sense of purpose into everything an organization does? Are all (and I mean all) representatives of organization given that same permission to embody an organization’s mission in the varied work they might do? These were some of the core questions and issues at hand as Theatre Bay Area launched a new initiative in the fall -- Cohort Learning: Mission Strategy and Integration.
