March 14 Matinee of Evita Revival Canceled; Performances Will Resume This Evening
Playbill.com: Producers Hal Luftig and Scott Sanders announced that the March 14 matinee of the Broadway revival of Evita has been canceled; performances will resume at 8 PM at the Marquis Theatre. As previously reported, the deluge curtain went off March 13 and the evening performance was canceled.

It's remarkable that the crew is able to recover from a disaster like that in less than 24 hours; additional research reveals that the production probably had to swap out some panels of the floor and a good bit of electrical gear. It's also interesting to speculate where all of that water went - some got absorbed by things on stage, and some probably found its way to a drain, but it's an area not meant to be drained, so it seems like there would be long-lasting repercussions. I also didn't find mention of the audience getting wet, which says a lot for their deluge system if true. The funny part is that there was no fire.
