Pittsburgh Playwrights relocates, plans 4 productions for 2011-12 season
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company has found a new home in the Cultural District. The new performance space is on the third floor of 937 Liberty Ave., Downtown. Pittsburgh Cultural Trust owns the Edwardian-style building, where Bricolage Production Company offers performances on the ground floor.

Bravo to the Cultural Trust!
There's so many abandoned buildings that the Trust owns with the promise of improving the Cultural District by converting into galleries and performance spaces. Good to see they are making good on their promise.
Also great for Pittsburgh Playwrights. I've never been in their space, I don't really understand where it is. Everytime there's a show there's a sandwhich board in the street pointing to what looks like the parking garage. But there's a small door next to that lot where the theater is. And I'm told it was a pretty crappy space. I hope the new space is an upgrage for the company in that aspect. And it puts them right above Bricolage, a very noticeable cultural landmark.
