Landlord files theft charges against Shadow Theatre
Denverpost: "The owner of the property that formerly housed the Shadow Theatre Company in Aurora has filed theft charges against its board of directors with Aurora police. Shadow was evicted last month, owing what Cornerstone Equity claims is $200,000 in unpaid rent and other debts. Shadow declared bankruptcy Feb. 2. When the company vacated the building last month, it “was looted by Shadow personnel on their way out,” Cornerstone’s Michael Rasser claims. Shadow representatives took more than $20,000 of technical and theater-related equipment with them, he says – equipment that was to have been left in Cornerstone’s possession in accordance with a legally executed eviction.
