i see this as the brim of the evolution in the merge of Film ,Television and web media. the way films and television is distributed is on its way to a major breakdown and in a time where we can distribute content instantly and cheaply as before where actual film had to be distributed from theatre to theatre we are on our way to a new format in entertainment. i know that many companies including the big six are browning their bridges right now over this inevitable transition into 21st century distribution and finding a enforceable way to profit will now be one of the biggest challenges
I am an avid Hulu audience member and I'm very grateful for all the entertainment (particularly distractions) that it has provided me with. However, it seems that this once-useful entertainment source seems to be evolving into a much larger organization than necessary. Through a production perspective, props to the Hulu company for progressing so well. However, as a viewer, I am immediately turned off my the overwhelming, repetitive advertisements and now the promotion of their own programs. Although I say this though, I will most likely continue to turn to Hulu for my weekly dose of 30 Rock and maintain my social conformation and contribution to entertainment consumerism.
