It's good to see that the company is responding accordingly and taking care of it's employee's. It has to be a HR nightmare trying to place and take care of them. I wonder what their plan is for the shows themselves. I'm sure that they are going to have perform some rigorous tests on the equipment and structures to ensure that they are up to par when it comes time to reopen their doors for the shows.
It's neat that they have the facilities to accommodate these employees at another location. With regards to the theatre, I agree with Jimmy and would be interested to see further articles about how things are holding up; below is a link to a video of equipment at Tokyo Disney getting damaged during the quake (watch the loudspeaker towers):

I agree with Daniel and Jimmy. I think it is great that Cirque has been able to be so accommodating to its employees. My impression of the company is that they treat people well on every level. I part of me thinks, "Of course they should do that; they have tons of money," but the other part of me knows that there are other large companies out there that care a lot less about their employees. I think this just helps to point out the way that theatre people become close even in such a large scale professional environment. I find this refreshing. I wonder when things will start to re-open in Japan, and I hope that entertainment can help people through such horrible times.
