I think that Dark Knight, as well as A Curious Case of Benjamin Button were great movies, that were definitely worthy of this recognition. Its always interesting to hear what movies and shows win this award, and I think that with the publicity that these shows had been receiving, it was well known that they would be recognized, and awarded at this venue.

While I am a huge fan of the Dark Knight, part of me wonders if part of the game of Dark Knight these days has to do more the Ledger's death then the actual movie. Don't get me wrong, Dark Knight is definably one of my favorite movies of all time, but then again I just love it because it has an amazing version of The Joker in it. The movie broke the sales record and then some, but I really do wonder if it's winning awards because it deserves them or because people are morning Ledger.

I was incredibly disappointed that Dark Knight wasn't nominated for Best Picture for the Oscars. I'm glad it got some recognition. I'm a huge fan of the costume designer and would love to see how the more cartoonish characters (Penguin, Harley Quinn <3) would be treated. At least the Batsuit could turn its head this time (Yay for jokes referencing costume design)
