I think that my favorites are the slide square and the dowel joiner. The square looks really handy, combining calipers, a square, and a protractor. This way you don't have to go hunting for those pesky little protractors which you can never find when you need them, and you can accurately measure somethings thickness quickly. I like that they took the biscuit-joiner idea and made it work for dowels. It's a good alternative.
The slide square and wood ratchet look handy and usable in many applications. When i saw the chisels, it made me think of props class last year. We did some lathe work, but I wish we got to do more. The dowel joiner looks nice, but it seems like it is much less time efficient than some staples or screws.
I really like the wood ratchet thing. I think it might actually make teaching framing easier for some people, and for people like me who've been doing it for a while, just faster in general. I was mildly unimpressed with Toolonger's toolset this week. I'm looking forward to what they have to say about the ocilating saws that just came out. Surprised they didn't have any early thoughts on them.
