although some might view this as sappy or lame i love this effort by the tonys. it is so important for our celebrities to take an active role in the world with all the money and fame they have. i know this award is not really going to suddenly encourage every actor to jump on the humanitarian band wagon ... at least it will get the word out about what type of efforts are being made - and i am sure will help generate a lot of support for those causes.
