Disney’s & Pixar's Ed Catmull says energy at Carnegie Mellon will enrich the world

I appreciate that piece of advice he gave, to fail often. If you put all of your energy into a project, and it turns out different than you had originally expected, you might see that as a failure. But really, our failures are just different outcomes, they teach us things and shape projects into masterpieces that we might not have been able to envision before.
After reading this article I pulled ot a very important quote...
“Fail early and often,” Catmull says. “Keep trying to do things. Keep
learning and changing. Those who grow and succeed try lots of things.”
This reminds me a lot of Wolf's Colon. Do your best, and if you make a mistake you can live and learn from it. The quote is a prime example of how school should be for you, make mistakes and learn from your mistakes. School needs to be an environment where mistakes can be celebrated.
I find it funny whenever outsiders of the school celebrate our interdisciplinary strengths. In this school, in this conservatory I really don't feel it. I only know these things second hand and I think that is pretty sad.
