Within the Context of the Imagination
Steppenwolf Theatre Company Blog: "Here we go–the launch of our 2008-2009 season. The start of a new season is always a thrilling moment for the theater. It’s such a lot of fun to finally start talking to our audience about the plays and artists that we’ve been thinking about and planning with for a year. (We’re in the midst of our planning process for 2009-2010 right now). And then comes the moment when our directors and actors show up for the first day of rehearsal and the dream gains body and voice. And then comes the moment when YOU show up and theater begins."

I am from Chicago, so I fortunately have been able to see many Steppenwolf productions. They are an amazing company. The width and breadth that the company covers is amazing and it is all really quality work. This season sounds amazing. The thing that I like best about the company is that it is really a company, and that is very evident in their work. The fact that the director of one show could be directed by one of their actors in another show creates an atmosphere that is able to create amazing theatre. If you are ever in Chicago, I recommend you see a show at Steppenwolf.
