Apple Tree Founder Boevers Will Get Special Jeff Award in Chicago
Yahoo! News: "Boevers has produced, directed, taught, performed and written for Apple Tree Theatre since its founding in 1983. During her tenure Apple Tree Theatre garnered 112 Jeff nominations and 28 Jeff Awards for excellence in Chicago area theatre. Further, she founded the Eileen Boevers' Performing Arts Workshop in 1970, where, employing Chicago's top theatre artists as teachers, she trained and developed a generation of theatre artists."

Its nice to see people get recognized in a very tight community like Chicago Theater. The Apple Tree Theater is know for some great work. She definitely deserves this award. The Jeff Committee gives out one award for similar recognition every year.
Its amusing that her name is Boevers. For half a second I thought David had founded Apple Tree…
Thats so great! Congratulation to her! A little disappointed the other theater Boevers didn't get included, but I am sure she is equally as proud! Yay! This is exciting!!
