I never would of guessed that out of all the movies in Hollywood that this would be the next one to make its way to broadway. Imagine this show right inbetween The Lion King and Shrek. Part of me hopes it not a musical just for the sake of the material. But I think that perhaps the show could push the controversial aspect that appears in the book. I don't want to call it a kind of horror, but it would be the closest thing that there is right not on Broadway. Not all shows have to be for the general public.

I personally love the idea of turning this amazing book into a play. The book is dark, disturbing, and something I'd kill to see on Broadway. Slowly we move to my dream, a horror movie-esk play. For a long time I've thought that plays seemed limited in the scope of content they put forth, and that they in general could go further but just never did. Even plays like Sweeney Todd are incredibly tame when compared to prime time television these days. While I'm not asking for The Shield of Dexter to become plays, I would like a darker, more violent play to at least attempt to run.

i completely fell in love with Christian Bale after watching this movie. i am excited for it, definitely! i mean, it would be awkward between Lion King and Shrek, but it would be the next Sweeney Todd.
