The New York Theater Workshop Lets Its Production Staff Go
New York Times: "All six employees on the production staff of the New York Theater Workshop have been told that they will be laid off as of May 30, and that their jobs will be performed in the future by temporary workers in a bid to cut costs."

Whao, it's a big jump from 4.5 mil to 3.5 mil dollars. It must be really painful for the employers and the employees to lose one another since they've been working together around a decade. I am sure at some point, it would happen to more often. But when that happens, it would be a painful process for all.
