Gore to speak at CMU commencement

Post Gazette: "Former Vice President Al Gore, co-winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for his work on global warming, will speak at Carnegie Mellon University's 111th commencement ceremony at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 18, in Gesling Stadium on the university's Oakland campus."

Lucky graduates of 2008. It is always a wow factor to see who speaks at commencement at schools such as Carnegie Mellon. I am glad to see he is reaching out to graduates that are heading out to the real world.

That's so cool! We have a famous political figure talking to our seniors going out to the real world. I hope our class in 2010 would have someone special. Commencement are such a weird times for people, as a family and friend to see someone finish and start a new phase of their lives.

What I find funny that Al Gore has become a Green movement celebrity, and it has completely taken over his image as the former vice president. He's doing a great job of getting the nation riled up about green projects and so forth, and I think that CMU is an excellent platform for him to achieve this.
