Britney's life made into ballet

BBC NEWS: "Meltdown, by the Rambert Dance Company, has its premiere at London's Queen Elizabeth Hall on Friday. It portrays Spears as she fends off the paparazzi, shaves off her hair and is carried off on a stretcher."

Okay, and I thought the popular movment of turning movies into musicals was bad, this new ballet far surpasses it. What happened to the fine arts in theatre? I don't ask that Broadway is covered from head to tow in it, or any performance hall for that matter, but why this show? It's below the belt. What's so interesting about her life that somebody thought they needed to hear her story? Perhaps the dancing will distract the audience on the show's storyline.

AHAHA love it.
I would totally watch it but it is kind of extreme. I mean coming form me. Britney's new album Black Out is AMAZING. but haha her in ballet? Why not a stripper pole. Love her but can't see her but can defend her.

While this is probably funny I kind of hate it when mediums are taken to these lengths. It's kind of like film became reality television and theatre is creating shoes about jerry springer and Britney spears. I don't think that people realize how ridiculous it is how the media and the American public are interested in these people's lives. Anyway the show sounds pretty silly if you ask me.

Its interesting how half the world is sick of everything Britney and the other half is completely fascinated and can't get enough. There is something about watching such a celebrity hit rock bottom then continue to fall further; but making a ballet piece? Thats close to obsession. Its comparable to that youtube video of the Britney fan crying hystericaly, teling everyone to leave her alone. She certainly does need to be left alone, but making youtube videos and ballets supporting Britney gives even more press to a situation that shouldn't have press at all.
