I feel as if bringing a c list celebrity, whose current social star status exists as a result of people making fun of him, is not what an overplayed musical needs. If i was in Vegas, i would only go see the producers to make fun of Hasselhoff. I feel like the choice to bring him on to a musical is a very poor producing choice.
This is just another gimmick by a producer to attract a certain kind of crowd. (Probably a German crowd...) This guy is quite possibly a king on the list of worst actors ever. No, I take that back, there are worse, but he's still not great. And that was on television. I would be interested to see how he does on stage where things have to be bigger. Maybe he'll be the best thing ever on stage and will have finally found his calling. And not to mention the different audience that this will attract. Keep in mind that this is in vegas, not new york or chicago where uppity theatre-goers would never stand for something like this. Remember that vegas is the town where two guys and a tiger are making it huge. This is where people go to take part in ridiculous things and pay a ton of money to see some of the most retarded stuff on stage. (I'm not saying that there isn't anything good in Vegas by any means either. Its just the whole spectrum in a very small space.) Moral of the story: Germans will now visit Las Vegas more. (because they worship that guy over there...)
