Ruhl's the real genius

Chicago Tribune: "For starters, I reviewed the then-unknown Ruhl's 'Orlando' at Evanston's Piven Theatre in 1998 and completely failed to appreciate that I was watching the early work of a woman who would soon be not only a certified MacArthur Foundation genius, but inarguably one of the leading contemporary American playwrights."

Maybe I have a special place in my heart for Sarah Ruhl, but I appreciate the critic's comments on her work. Also, I enjoy seeing that he is able to see what he has reviewed and examine them as his successes and failures.
However, if there are only 3 or 4 examples of when he has been completely off base then he seems to be doing a pretty good job.
