TrainingTechDirector (2:29:00 PM): hi i have a question about the show bid project
TrainingTechDirector (2:29:04 PM): about flying stuff
TechDirectorTrainer (3:16:32 PM): K
TrainingTechDirector (3:19:34 PM): hi
TechDirectorTrainer (3:19:54 PM): hi
TrainingTechDirector (3:20:25 PM): ok so in our materials do we have to include rigging hardwear or is that a stock thing and in labor do we have to account for instailling it or is that not accounted for in the build
TechDirectorTrainer (3:20:46 PM): are you bidding the installation?
TrainingTechDirector (3:20:54 PM): yes....
TrainingTechDirector (3:20:57 PM): no
TrainingTechDirector (3:21:04 PM): were bidding the build, right?
TechDirectorTrainer (3:21:08 PM): right
TrainingTechDirector (3:21:15 PM): ok so we dont have to worry avbout that
TechDirectorTrainer (3:21:20 PM): you have to account for the hardware
TrainingTechDirector (3:21:40 PM): could that be part of our stock
TechDirectorTrainer (3:21:41 PM): and you have to account for the attaching of the hardware to the scenery
TechDirectorTrainer (3:22:05 PM): you don't have to account for the hanging of the piece from the lineset
TechDirectorTrainer (3:22:12 PM): as that would be part of the installation
TechDirectorTrainer (3:22:21 PM): but to be " ready for install"
TechDirectorTrainer (3:22:33 PM): a piece would have its hardware on it
TrainingTechDirector (3:22:38 PM): ok
TechDirectorTrainer (3:22:52 PM): for something with this much flying stock
TechDirectorTrainer (3:23:04 PM): I think saying that all the hardware would be in stock would be a mistake
TechDirectorTrainer (3:23:20 PM): but there probably would be something you could count on using
TechDirectorTrainer (3:23:37 PM): usually I would come up for an allowance for each hanging point
TechDirectorTrainer (3:23:58 PM): something short of the full cost, but still putting some money in for the stuff I do wind up having to buy
TrainingTechDirector (3:24:08 PM): ok, so can i just make a estimate a price for flying materials, or do i have to estimate for each individual thing?
TechDirectorTrainer (3:24:28 PM): I would estimate a typical point on a scratch pad
TechDirectorTrainer (3:24:44 PM): and then on each sheet do "rigging point" and the number of points
TrainingTechDirector (3:24:51 PM): ok
TechDirectorTrainer (3:25:10 PM): make sense?
TrainingTechDirector (3:25:13 PM): yes
