In my senior year of highschool I did it almost every day and I credit it to me surviving the school year. I keep telling myself I should pick it back up. As far as replacing it with sleep is concerned, I know people who go on retreats where one of the main components is meitating and they sleep around 3-4 hrs a night if they have meditated for a substantial amount if time during the day. -Serrano
