i think this serves as a good warning. as things get more complicated, the demand for perfection gets even higher. At some point it becomes too technically challenging to have something be reliable enough to repeat performances over and over again and expect it all to work. i imagine we'll just get used to this or the newest technology will just wait long enough before it hits the stage so all those issues can be rung out. two cities at once though...that's crazy.
I smell a curse. Someone has it out for Mary. It is strange that both incidents happened to the Poppins show, but shit happens. You cannot stop life, and that is exactly what these problems were. As Kristen stated, I would have loves to be there too. I think diasaters bring out the est in people!!!!
And that, my friends is what makes like theatre so entertaining! It is true that sometimes, no matter how much you plan, and plot, and worry--things will go worng somewhere. The important thing is to maintain a clear mind and be flexible. You never what's coming up around the corner, so you have to be able to look at a situation, analyze it, react, and adapt.
