Stage Review: CMU's 'Blue Leaves' hits mark
Post Gazette: "seeing it now at Carnegie Mellon, I think it's actually better than extraordinary. This is one of the definitive modern American plays, a brilliantly theatrical account of the American dream gone sour. That's a hackneyed theme, but it's imagined here with such breathtaking brio that it becomes a revelation."

I agree with what aaron and rebecca have said. It is a good review but the comments and critcisims are in many ways innate to an educational environment. It's hard for us to extend our run and there is much to be said by pointing out the importance of life experiances.
As to the ticketing problem, I understand the student frustration with the inability to get a ticket to see "House of Blue Leaves." However, the house count has yet to exceed 112, so if students were willing to come to the box office before the show and put their names on the waiting list we have had the capacity to admit 20 people every night and people just aren't showing up. And that's not counting the number of tickets that get turned in at the door by people who are unable to use them.
