'Musical' proves that Jester is no joke

Orlando Sentinel : Theater: "Nobody knew, when tiny Jester Theater Company decided to stage a musical revue last winter, that the show would turn out to be Jester's lucky break.

Now the company's production of The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!) -- a loving spoof of musical theater from Oklahoma! to Sweeney Todd -- is taking the self-described mom-and-pop theater group to Europe."

I saw their production of The Musical of Musicals the Musical when it played Off Broadway 2 years ago. I still think it was the funniest 2 hours i ever spent in a theatre. It was a love it or hate it production. Without a fairly decent knowledge of the classic American musicals and their composers, the show went right over some people's heads.
