Galati in the heart of 'Pirate' storm

CHICAGO SUN-TIMES: "Frank Galati, director of 'The Pirate Queen,' has shepherded scores of plays and operas to their openings over the years, but there is something particularly unnerving about overseeing a Broadway musical. In fact, when he discusses the process, he speaks in terms of 'storms.'"

My family got tickets to see the pirate queen. I am excited to see it because I really like the music from Les Miserable and Miss Saigon, and also Ragtime has evolved into becoming one of my favorite musicals.
It's also interesting to point out the re are less musicals with very strong women as the central charachters so to watch a show with different themes will be interesting.

I think Pirate Queen is going to be a great show. I have seen a behind the scenes look at the show and heard some of the music and it sounds simply incredible.
Galati did a phenomenal job with Ragtime, and when I saw it in New York, it was such an honest and genuine show, and hopefully Pirate Queen will be the same and truly wear its heart on its sleeve.
