CAMT Turns 10_____________________________________________________

The Center for Arts Management and Technology (CAMT) is hosting the inaugural Technology in the Arts
conference here at Carnegie Mellon on Oct. 20-21.

The conference is a meeting place for the national arts community to discuss technology's impact on arts management. Guest panelists and lecturers will provide insight into how their organizations are using technology to streamline arts funding, planning and programming. The lineup includes information on:

-Funding Technology Projects
-Leading with Limited Authority
-Content Management Systems
-Technology-Based Art
-Effective and Affordable Podcasting

In addition, the conference will feature two outstanding keynote speakers ­ Carnegie Mellon¹s own Donald Marinelli and celebrated artist Faith Ringgold.

Center for the Arts in Society

The recent installation of new public art on the campus has been a catalyst for some spirited debates. Join Prof. Doug Cooper (ARCH ¹70) and members of Carnegie Mellon¹s Center for the Arts in Society for a tour of public art on campus, followed by an informal discussion of the role of arts on campus and in our daily lives. Refreshments will be served at the discussion.
