Blending disciplines

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "If it doesn't work out for Pittsburgh and puppetry, it won't be for lack of trying. This month, the Black Sheep Puppet Festival returns for its eighth installment, reanimating the original multimedia art form for today's audiences."

Amazing that these steel workers are involved with puppetry. It is not the immediate hobby I would associate them with. It is nice that they do this as an anuual thing for people to enjoy. At the same time, it seems kind of disappointing that there will not be any flaming puppets this year.

Wow. Pittsburgh and puppets, who would've guessed? And who would've guessed that a man would want to turn his house into a museum and then make mini magnets of everyone he's ever met? Interesting for sure. At any rate, the puppetry sounds like a break from the everyday and it's great that artists from around the world are so interested in bringing their craft here, even if the use of fire has been censored.

After reading about Pittsburgh almost becoming the center for puppetry, I had my doubts. However, it has become more and more apparent that Pittsburgh is actually a great place for experimental artists. I believe it is because of how open minded people are here for new experiences and are not concerned with change. At least from what i've heard, within these few years Pittburgh has change immensely from what it was before, which proves my point.
