Backstage Drama Before Carnegie Opener
Backstage: "The call came a few hours before Carnegie Hall's season-opening gala concert -- Thomas Quasthoff, one of the stars of the night, had an inflamed vocal cord and couldn't sing."

It's a perfect example of Murphy's Law. It's nice to see that it all came together somehow. It's amazing how bad things seem to bombard a production one after the other. For this show, it was remaining calm as well as a little bit of luck that allowed them to succeed in the end.
